Hello,

I bought a used Powerbox from KW-Systems.
Unfortunately, the adapter plug doesn't fit my car!
Mit dabei war ein 8pol. Adapterstecker und mein Auto hat ein 10pol. Plug!!
KW-Systems wants 76 Euros plus shipping for the new adapter plug, and that's simply too expensive for me, especially since the entire device only cost me 120 Euros!!?

My question: Where can I get the 10-pin connectors and sockets?
How are the connections arranged, or where should I connect the 4 cables from the box?

Is this box worth recommending, or are there better alternatives?

Thank you in advance.

Andy.

He he he!
I'm having the exact same problem. I have the same control module for a Passat TDI with 90 or 110 horsepower. However, I have a Golf IV TDI with 90 horsepower, so I need a 10-pin connector.

You can get the 10-pin connectors from VW. Someone posted the part number here about 3 weeks ago, and they cost around 16 Euros.

But, where can you get that stupid 4-pin connector?

'Will you handle registering everything? KW charges 127 euros for that service...'

Please find the part numbers as listed by 'SchwarzerGolf' below.
posted.

It would still be helpful if you could tell me where I can find the 4-pin connector. I also don't know yet how to connect it.
I'm almost certain I won't install the turbo. I had a big scare recently because my TDI lost power, and it wasn't due to a faulty mass airflow sensor (MAF), even though it felt exactly like a MAF problem. It turned out the lever on the EGR valve had simply come loose.

Hello.
You can find these adapter plugs at any Volkswagen dealership.
1J0 973 735 Flat contact housing.
1J0 973 835 Flat contact housing.
and then you'll need the pins as well.
000 979 131 Sentence Single lines
000 979 134 Sentence Single-line
And that will cost you 16.35 euros.

Regards, SchwarzerGolf.
