Hello everyone
I bought a 1994 Golf TDI a couple of days ago. While I was on the return trip, I noticed that the car would sometimes stutter, meaning it wouldn't take the gas. Often under full load.
Yesterday, the warning light flashed while I was driving, I had to continue driving because I couldn't stop immediately on the highway, but when I finally reached a place where I could, the light turned off again.
otherwise, the car runs very well
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me, as the seller would be willing to take it back shortly.
Greetings to everyone |

Could it be relay 109? Maybe ask a friendly person who's passing by to take a look and borrow one. If it is, take the old one and make it work again, and solder the connections (the original ones often have cold solder joints). After that, the old one should also work again.
Best regards, WarLord |

Hi,
use the search function and enter "stuttering or stammering" --- we've already discussed this 1000 times.
A full load on the VP37 engine often comes from the NHG - you can also find the test for this via the search function. Gruß Bertil

Thank you, I need to run some tests now!
What would that cost to replace a NHG, or could I do it myself? The one I have has 280,000 km on it, but it still runs well.
Greetings

Hi
The NHG (presumably referring to a specific product or service) costs around 300 euros, but if you exchange it, the price is approximately half.
DIY is not a major problem depending on your skills, some tips on this can be found in the technical article about "Dyser-tuning". Gruß Ulf

Hi,
are the first nozzles still there?
If so, then I would consider replacing the entire STAZ and not just the NHG. Gruß Bertil

Yes, everything is original, according to the seller.
He only does that if the fuel gauge is below 1/4, maybe we can now narrow down the problem more easily.
There might be something like, 'How do I shift to get to 0-100k/mh as quickly as possible, i.e., when should I shift the 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear, etc., and what RPM should I avoid going below?'
Greetings
