Whining noises in the transmission are audible in all gears at speeds below 1600 RPM and less than 60 km/h. These noises are temperature-dependent and become more pronounced as the transmission gets warmer. Cause: The meshing noises from the synchronizer are transmitted outwards through the left driveshaft, which is designed as a hollow shaft with a diameter of 42 mm. Solution: By installing a new left driveshaft (which is manufactured as a solid shaft with a diameter of 26 mm). Part number 1J0 407 271 FD, can this issue be resolved?
