If someone owns a radio  that doesn't have a remote, they should consider getting a new one.
The circuit for dimming the W8 light is very concerning.
When dimming, the MOSFET traverses its characteristic curve field.
'This means that a certain amount of power is dissipated in the FET, based on the voltage and current, which can lead to excessive heating. I wouldn't risk it and would use PWM instead.'

Morning!
Nice page.
The MOSFET dimming function is fine as long as the load is in the single-digit watt range and is not being dimmed on and off constantly. I have a similar circuit, but using a transistor, and I have already tested it.
At this point, I might also be able to 'promote' my page  .

But I wouldn't do it that way.
I used an Atmel microcontroller and implemented it using PWM.
Of course, it includes all the standard features, such as dimming the lights when the central locking system is activated with the remote control, turning on the ignition, etc., and brightening the lights when the central locking system is activated with the remote control, turning off the ignition, etc.

The remote control feature is mainly intended for people who go to events held in fields or on beaches. With the remote control function, it's possible to keep the radio playing even after the ignition key has been removed.

hi,
I used a bistable, two-coil relay and connected it to the car's central locking system to switch it on remotely or via the ACC (accessory) function.
Now, the radio turns on as soon as I press the button on the remote control.
so, that music is already sounding nice, when you're getting in  .

Well...
'You can certainly find a small power-off delay of 5-10 seconds in any electronics store, or easily create one yourself with a little thought... Simply connect it between the ignition switch and the radio, and you're done.'
2) A diode that directs current from ignition switch position 3 (starting) to ignition switch position 1 (S terminal).
I think my battery should be able to handle it.
I'm not so sure about that! The voltage drop can be quite significant, and some amplifiers don't handle it well at all. In the worst case, they can completely lose control and cause the speakers to be damaged.

hello,
It depends on the radio and the car.
If you have a newer car, the 'S' contact for the radio will remain connected even when the engine is started.
The problem is often with the radios themselves, which switch off when there's a significant voltage drop, such as when starting the engine.
But with the bistable relay, the S contact isn't used anyway.
I own a Lupo 3L with a start-stop system, which already has a voltage stabilizer installed from the factory. This stabilizer ensures that the voltage for the control units, dashboard, and radio remains at a minimum of 12V.
