Hello,

As a comparison to the rather high LLT (likely referring to a specific technical parameter) on my ASZ (likely referring to a specific device or system), I decided to tap into my partner's ALH-Ibi today.

Driving cycle: a full-throttle acceleration in 3rd gear from mid-range RPMs to approximately 4500 RPM.

I had experienced the same thing with my Polo several times before.

I have presented the data in the logs as a diagram: on the left is the Polo, and on the right is the ALH.

Given the relatively weak response of the LLT during the ALH, I initially suspected that the ALH software was brutally dampening the temperature changes.

However, the VAGCOM display reacts in practically the same "fast" way to a quickly rotating potentiometer at the LLT sensor input for both the ALH and ASZ engines, so this cause can be ruled out.

The sensor is located in the LLK outlet on the ASZ model, and approximately 60 cm behind the LLK in the intake manifold on the ALH model.
Could this potentially cause such a reduction?

Okay, the turbocharger boost pressure is also different.
at 4000 rpm: 0.93 / 1.30 bar (ALH / ASZ)
at 4400 rpm, 0.78 / 1.15 bar.

Since the charging capacity increases almost quadratically with the charging pressure, the turbocharger must handle approximately twice the heat load at 4400 rpm in the ASZ engine compared to the ALH engine. At lower speeds, this ratio decreases to below 2.

However, the maximum temperature difference compared to the outside air is more than double that of the ALH value (50K versus 22K), although...

-> The ASZ-LLK has a cooling network area that is approximately 25% larger and about 15% more area for the intake of cooling air in the spoiler.

-> The gear ratio of the ASZ engine results in a slightly higher overall transmission ratio (rpm to km/h) compared to the ALH engine.

The measurement at the ASZ (presumably an abbreviation for a specific system or component) was actually taken after the redesign of the cooling air duct for the LLK (likely another abbreviation), so this disadvantage of the ASZ should largely have been eliminated.
