Hello,

I have a question.

I have frequently had the crankshafts of four-cylinder diesel engines machined flat, and there have never been any problems with it – until now. I recently machined the crankshaft of a crankshaft of a good friend's Audi A6 2.5 TDI (AEL), and that's when I encountered a problem.

Regarding the process:
During a timing belt replacement, we reassembled and started the engine, but immediately noticed that it was running extremely unevenly and making a lot of noise. After a brief diagnosis, I discovered that the vibration damper was damaged. After disassembling everything again and inserting the locking pin, I could immediately see that it wasn't centered. I then obtained a new one. However, even the new one could only be centered under very difficult conditions. The problem is now resolved, but I can't center the pin perfectly on other 5-cylinder diesel engines either.

Now, to the question:
Has anyone else had similar experiences with the milling cutter preparation products from Müller Werkzeuge?

Best regards,
David
