Hello everyone,
After I replaced the camshafts on my V6 TDI (more about that here:
http://www.passat3b.de/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=24537&highlight=), it's now experiencing performance issues. Specifically, it can only reach 200 km/h, and it takes a very long time to reach that speed. With the "broken" camshafts, it ran without problems, reaching 230-240 km/h according to the speedometer. What could be the cause? I made sure the timing belt was correctly aligned, with the camshafts, pump, and crankshaft properly synchronized, and then I tensioned the belt, following the repair manual. The only thing I haven't done is adjust the fuel injection pump. The diagnostic tool shows 0° advance, while the target value according to Audi is 2° retard, plus or minus 2°. Could this make such a difference, or where is the problem? I'm grateful for any advice.
Regards,
Al.
