Hello,
Lately, I've been experiencing some difficulty starting the car when the fuel tank is below a quarter full.
Then the startup process takes approximately 2-4 seconds.
It feels like there's air in the fuel line.
If the tank is full, the engine starts immediately.
Where should I start looking?

Engine specifications:
- VW T4 TDI, 88 hp / 65 kW
- 157,000 km
- Fuel filter replaced in 12/04.
- Slight diesel leakage detected near the ES injectors on the engine.

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

Hello,
Do you have a pre-pump in the tank?
Best regards,
Günther.

Sure!

- Fuel filter replaced in 12/04.

Hoses, seals (thermostat!), hose clamps, etc.

CU.

I experienced the same problem with my first G2 D.

There's a tiny hole somewhere in the fuel line that allows air to enter but prevents diesel from escaping.

That is, you don't see any wet spots or droplets, but air can be drawn into the lines – preferably when the tank has a correspondingly low fuel level.

Ignore or search forever icon_smile.gif.

... there was another T.

I don't know what the f*ck it was.

How about you start your search by checking the beer hose connections? icon_cool.gif
