It looked like this on my end.

Especially at the 313-second mark, you have a really nice intro!

Here's some advance information on how to check the wastegate:

- Remove the exhaust pipe (these 4 screws are on the large flange at the turbo - replace the gasket).
- now you can see the gate.
- Draw up 60 ml of air into the syringe and connect it to the pressure vessel.
- Securely attach! Press firmly.
- Gate opens.
- Release the syringe; it will spring back.
- The gate closes completely (theoretically gas-tight).

Okay... Now I've found the culprit...

Please provide the text you would like me to translate from German to English. I need the text to be able to translate it.

What should I do now...?

Best regards,
Michael.

Am I understanding this correctly?
Is the exhaust turbine housing broken?

Then I guess "new" is the only option left...

Maybe there's something cheap on eBay.

Yes, I saw it too...

Please check if the running gear is in good condition. Then, if you buy a faulty (over-revved, melted turbine) turbocharger from iiiiibääähh, you can take the exhaust housing from it.

If the impeller has excessive radial play (meaning the vanes are almost touching the housing) or noticeable axial play, I would recommend getting a new one, or a used one with low mileage (perhaps from a car that was involved in an accident?).

If the impeller has a lot of radial play (meaning the blades are almost touching the housing), or noticeable axial play, then I would advise you to get a new one, or a used one with low mileage (perhaps from a salvage vehicle?!) .

Well, I don't know... I already have 312,000 km on the odometer.

I could now get a used KKK or Garet for €220.

Which one should I take?

Best regards,
Michael.

What else do you know about the used [item]?

Mileage, do you know the previous owner, etc.?

For the price, it's worth giving it a try, I'd say, just based on my gut feeling.

Hey guys...

After experiencing a turbocharger failure on Tuesday and replacing it with a new one, I'm still facing the same problem.

The LD is still fluctuating; it's just not pulling up strongly enough from the bottom.

Can I make the connecting rod (or 'rod') longer in the Turbo engine to accommodate a larger valve?

Does that make any difference?

By the way, at full load, I'm getting exactly 0.8 bar of boost pressure!

Best regards,
Michael

Hi.

If you look closely at the image I posted, you can see that the rod is pushing the gate. If you make it longer, it will always be open, and you'll have even less boost pressure!

Simple mnemonic:
The wastegate is pressure-controlled, so the pressure pushes the rod.
VTG is controlled by vacuum (let's say suction), so it PULLS the rod.

I don't believe that two turbos would exhibit the exact same defect. It sounds more like a problem originating outside of the turbos. N75, sleeping bags or something like that.
