Hi, tinkerers,
I am currently considering the following option:
Instead of a switch, I would use two optocouplers connected in parallel. I would connect the LEDs of the optocouplers in series. For control, I am thinking of using the signal from the charging pressure sensor. This should be decoupled and the diode current should be linearized.
Then the tuning should automatically activate starting with a boost pressure of approximately 0.5 bar.
This would allow one to eliminate the suspicious, short-lived smoke that occurs when performing a 10ct tuning and suddenly giving gas in the partial load range.
Okay, here's the translation:
Greetings

Okay, let's try a different question: Does anyone have experience with how long the cable can be if you want to install the tuning system inside the car?
I didn't know...I used a 2.5m (flat) telephone cable because I didn't have anything else. I just wrapped the excess around the switch lever. No negative effects...
See you, Gremlin |

@ULF
Another pair of diodes isn't working!!!

I'll try testing with Z-diodes.
Bye
