The problem is the throttle position sensor (TPS). By adjusting the ESP slightly (see Ulf's DIY solution in the error database), I was able to eliminate the unstable idle and jerking at 1200 rpm.
Sure, I was able to remove it through adaptation on my original control unit as well.
However, there are also enough cases where adaptation doesn't solve the problem or where people don't trust the ESP (Electronic Stability Program).
Gesture recognition is a topic all its own.
I tried it out. Without the shock absorbers, riding in stop-and-go traffic feels like being on a goat, so that's not the solution.
