It still doesn't give a direct answer to my question: Is it actually being 'de-rated' now, or does it simply reach its design limit at a certain speed, so that it just stops working?

Best regards,

It is electronically regulated.

My AFN engine, with the original software, has a maximum speed of 4850 RPM. With tuning software, it reaches 5150 RPM.

Just press the accelerator and you'll feel when your car reaches its maximum power!

Regards,

Manuel.

Dear icon_confused.gif, I shouldn't }. I don't necessarily have to stress the engine.

Best regards,

Hmm, you can still rev the 1Z engine into the red zone in 3rd gear. In 1st gear, it even reaches 5,300 RPM without any problems (I experimented with that once when the engine was warm). Oh yeah, the engine is standard (no modifications). I've never noticed any speed limiter.

Best regards, WarLord.
