I'm a bit desperate because we have this AI system on the test bank, and it even works with simple interfaces. But you shouldn't argue based on success.

I am absolutely convinced that it will work even with "simple" interfaces. Your AI being put to the test is the best proof of that.
What could be the reason that it's not working on my car...?
For example, who says that the problem is solely due to AI?
(Which specific version of Windows are you using?)

However, so far there appears to be no established "patent solution" or a guide for narrowing down the problem or resolving it.

I would like to test this further, but I don't have a second defective AI device with the same order number, and I'm not going to keep this "dumb" interface.

Unfortunately, I don't know why it's not working with your car that has a 'simple' interface.

I have tested the AI on our test bench with several computers and Windows versions. P-100 with NT4, P-133 with W95, up to a dual 2.4 GHz Xeon with XP. Possibly, the problem lies in the firmware version of the AI. I believe that the problems stem from the fact that the AI does not have a real UART, but uses a software-based UART, and that the bits being sent are occasionally extended. Even when you connect a VAG-1552 and use a protocol analyzer to see what happens, you can see many errors and repetitions. So, honestly, I'm glad it works at all.
