With Felicia / Facelift, I meant Felicia and Felicia Facelift.
It apparently only came with a single 1.9L SD engine.

Best regards, Rudi.

I have to disagree with that.

There was also a 1.9 TDI 100PS version, but it's very rare.

And those were actually called Felicia II 1.9SDI.

Although diesel versions are quite rare in the Felicia.

Most people opted for the 1.6-liter engine because it's a really good VAG engine, while the 1.3-liter engine is still directly from Skoda.

Hmmm...

The Felicia, produced until 2001 (with and without the facelift), was only available with a single diesel engine.
Could it be that the Felicia II was not available in Germany at all, or only under a different name?

Best regards, Rudi.

It's possible that it was somehow erased during the early stages of Volkswagen's development.

That's actually quite an interesting aspect of the story, but it's very difficult to follow.

But if you all think the data is okay, then I guess I'll just have to live with the problem in the tank.

THX to everyone.

Okay, just to reiterate briefly about 'sports' air filters, they really don't offer much benefit, do they?

Otherwise, there aren't many things you can do.

Best regards, BigB.

edit: Okay, seriously now. I read a lot in the 'green' and 'gray' forums. There, many older VW pre-chamber/indirect injection diesel drivers discuss their experiences. I've often read that non-direct injection turbo or naturally aspirated engines consume about 1 liter/100km more than a comparable direct injection engine. So, stay calm. A change in driving habits will certainly make a difference.

So, just to quickly mention the topic of 'sport' air filters, they don't really do much, do they?

Yes, they increase the retailer's icon_mrgreen.gif revenue.

Best regards, Rudi.

This weekend, I went for an inspection and talked to the workshop foreman. The engine isn't an SDI, just an SD. The newer ones, which came with the facelift from the factory, aren't really SDIs either. The engine code is AEF, as suspected, and he thought the fuel consumption was okay. He couldn't resist making a comment when I told him how fast I drive, suggesting that I might need to control my 'gas pedal' a bit more to reduce fuel consumption.
