Suzuki 1.25 DDIS (The engine is a Fiat development; it is used by Suzuki as the 1.25 DDIS in the WagonR+, Ignis, and Swift, and by Fiat as the 1.3 JTD in the Panda, Punto, etc., as well as by Opel as the 1.3 CDTI in the Agila, Meriva, and Astra).
"During the drive, the repair light (symbol: car with wrench) first came on, then went off, and the engine check light (symbol: engine block) illuminated. It remains on even after several engine starts. The engine has absolutely no power and doesn't rev above 2000 RPM. There is no visible soot buildup. The idle is smooth and unremarkable. The turbo boost is no longer noticeable."
The car is 1.5 years old and has 45,000 km on the odometer. So, does it still have the new car warranty?
"Damn it, right out of the blue!!!" I called the mobility service call center, and they sent the ADAC (German Automobile Club). The nice older gentleman looked inside and said, "Nice car, but we usually only tow." Repairs are only done by dealerships or authorized workshops: during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM)...
Does anyone have any idea what the cause of the problem might be, or are there any known weaknesses in this Fiat engine? And how should I deal with the dealer and the Suzuki Mobility Service? It's ridiculous that you can't even rely on a nearly-new car, and then you're stranded like you're driving a 20-year-old vehicle.
