Hello,

I purchased the diagnostic adapter with VagCom from 'shop.dieselschrauber.de'. This adapter has a switch that is likely used to switch between 'K/L' and 'K1/K2' modes.
Unfortunately, I don't know the difference between K/L and K1/K2, and therefore I can't determine in which position the switch is (there is no marking on the switch itself on the housing).

My car is an A6 C4 1.9 TDI with 90 horsepower, and the engine code is AHU.

Regards,
Michael.

What is the model year of your A6? You either have only K1, or you have both K1 and K2.

Technically, the automatic switching function could have been implemented in the circuit's manufacturing process for approximately 5-10 cents, which would likely have been offset by the elimination of the switch itself. Only Rainer can probably explain why this wasn't done. Almost all adapters, which are offered for sale through various online marketplaces and other sources, have an automatic switching function, regardless of the quality of the hardware in terms of signal quality.

Exclusively K1. icon_idea.gif

In other words, it doesn't matter at all how the switch is set on your device. icon_cool.gif
