Hello.

I'm looking for ESD injectors for my 1Z TDI, manufactured in 1995. I've found some, but the seller doesn't know if the injectors are compatible with the 1Z engine. However, he has the part numbers.

Part No. 028 130 201 HX

Can someone help me and, based on the above number, tell me whether these nozzles fit a 1Z model or not. The seller wrote that I should call VW and inquire about something, but I don't think today is a good day to do that.

Thank you very much.

Try it here:
http://ecat-online.bosch.de/toc/de/XRA4OF0ZWVGZ4BWZHHY0MTI.srv?view=VIndexJsp

When using the direct article search, enter the number without the "X".

Opening pressure [bar]: 190
Nozzle holder: Dual-spring nozzle holder.
Nozzle holder: with needle movement sensor.

Thank you, Bertil.

I checked earlier, but unfortunately without success, because I was searching with 'X'. However, I've had success now. As you mentioned, these nozzles are for Audi, but what's the difference? Does Audi also have 1Z engines?

Can I also install this ESD in a golf cart?

I'm sorry, but I'm just a beginner and still have a lot to learn.

Thank you for your patience with me.

"X" simply indicates a replacement part.

The engine in these Audis is mounted longitudinally, which means that minor modifications to the 1Z engine from the Golf are possible.

I wouldn't install just that nozzle alone.

Hello.

Since I'm also interested in this, I'm digging up this information; I found it on Google. (I have a Golf 1Z and I'm wondering if the Audi injector with needle lift actuator will fit.)

The Audi 1Z engine uses the same standard fuel injectors as the Golf 1Z engine.
The three nozzles each have the part number 028 130 201 G (GX).

Only the nozzle with the needle lift actuator differs.
Audi 1Z has the part number 028 130 201 H (HX).
The Golf 1Z has the part number 028 130 201 J (JX).

The nozzle itself is likely the same, but the supply line is longer on the Audi.
I wonder if it would work flawlessly in a golf environment?
Is the cable longer simply because of the different routing required for the longitudinally mounted Audi engine? Surely they wouldn't manufacture two different nozzles just for 10 cm of cable. They could have simply extended the line to the nozzle.
Or perhaps it's a resistance wire and that's why it's of different lengths?
If so, can the cables be simply replaced, and how are they attached to the nozzle? Perhaps someone has already disassembled a nozzle using NHG (presumably a specific cleaning agent or solvent).

Perhaps someone here can offer some advice.

Thank you.

They would even create a completely separate product based on a difference of just 3 centimeters in length.
If the Audi injector has the longer cable, it can be used in a Golf. Conversely, nothing icon_wink.gif will probably happen.

The cable is crimped/molded into the nozzle side.

Best regards,
Rudi
