Hello,

I drive a T4 with a 2.5L engine, 102 horsepower, manufactured in March 1999, and it has a Pierburg mass airflow sensor.

I received an engine control unit (ECU) that I wanted to equip with new chips. I can install it and drive with it, but unfortunately, it's not producing the correct power. In the diagnostic log (MWB 0), the last value is too low, which suggests a problem with the Bosch mass airflow sensor (MAF).

My question is, can I recode the control unit so that it works with my mass airflow sensor, or is the installation of new chips irrelevant anyway, and are the parameters stored in the chip itself?

The control unit's part number is 074906021A.

Regards,
Bernd.
