My AWX (96kW TDI) is producing approximately 980-1000 mg/h of air mass. When would you recommend replacing it?
P.S.: I've already tried cleaning it, and that's all I'm going to do.

I would swap it out if it's no longer performing well, or at the latest when the soot limit is reached. Your stated value doesn't tell me anything; you can compare "should" and "is" yourself.

The limit (according to VW) is 850mg/h, which occurs at approximately 3000 RPM in 3rd gear with full throttle. Cleaning the 'weak' mass airflow sensor (MAF sensor) can help somewhat, but 'tuning' it by drilling a small hole provides more improvement. See technical articles. When dealing with these values, start with a relatively small hole and compare the readings later during a test drive icon_wink.gif.

The performance loss is happening "gradually"; I don't notice anything subjectively, but I feel it when comparing it to my friends' devices. *gg* There's no noticeable stuttering or direct drop in performance in the traditional sense.
