It is a Fabia TDI (MKB ATD) with a retrofitted GRA (correctly and cleanly wired!).
STG.:038-906-019AF
Sometimes, in poor road conditions and wet weather, the cruise control system can disengage unexpectedly. The cruise control system is connected to the central control unit and communicates via CAN with the engine control unit (unlike other vehicles, it is not directly connected to the engine control unit!). When it occurred again recently, I read the error codes:
1 DTC Found:
18097 - Powertrain Data Bus: Implausible Message from Central Electornics 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Does anyone know the exact cause, and can anyone help me decipher the "35-10 - -" in the message?
I have verified the correct function of the GRA switch in the central control unit (09) in measurement block 22, field 2. Everything is OK. No known error logs or malfunctions elsewhere.

Stay positive and thank you

Hallo,

Hi Michael,
I didn't do anything on the CAN-bus line during installation.
The switch obtains power via the brake pedal switch (bl/rt Pin 2) and (presumably) transmits it via the ws Pin 10 - wire to the motor-ECU (fail-safe). The individual positions of the GRA lever (SET/-, RES/+, ON, STOP, OFF) are evaluated by the control unit on the control panel and transmitted via the CAN bus to the engine control unit...
Where (on which connector) of the main power distribution box (09) are the CAN bus lines connected? Would like to trace it through the wiring harness...
Does anyone know what "35-10 - - -" means in the error log? Maybe that gives a clue about the location of the Wacker...
Stay positive

The problems have stopped (I haven't done anything). A week ago, there was an error entry every 5 minutes. Now, after 6 test drives, there are no more entries. It seems the "Wackler" (likely a playful or teasing term) has probably shaken things up to bother me later...
For your information, the numbers in the error entry mean:
35 means no error type (no further description)
10 means intermittent error
00 means error is permanent
And in the measurement block 125 and 126, you can monitor the communication with the other control devices.
Cheerfully shook head
