Hello everyone.

I used VAGCOM to check the adjustment of my two brake switch sensors (F and F 47).

Result: The brake lights illuminate earlier than the pedal switch activates; the difference is approximately 1-2 cm at the pedal.
So, quite a lot, especially considering the requirement for completely simultaneous signals.
My error memory is clear, and I haven't noticed any distinct malfunctions that could be a consequence of incorrectly adjusted switches.

"Does anyone have more detailed experience with this issue, or how significant is the performance loss when the EDC starts 'going wild' with shifted gear points?"

COMPLETE power loss...

Since I'm used to driving automatics with both feet, I had to adjust a bit when using the TDI. It's not possible to press the accelerator and then immediately release the brake; that wouldn't work. In the 'old-fashioned' car (tm), that always provided a great initial acceleration boost icon_wink.gif.

Just try it out...
