Is the timing belt tension okay? Can you see any traces of mouse remains or blood on the timing belt (in case the AFN cover isn't completely sealed)?
Please check this, along with the basic settings: NW (negative crank angle), OT (top dead center) for cylinder 1, and the positioning of the fuel injection pump. I would do that before starting it up again.
In my opinion, either the ESP system is malfunctioning or the timing belt has slipped.
