Hello Corado TDI,
I saw your performance data from your Corado. If I read correctly, it has an 81 kW engine, which, in its standard configuration without a chip, should have 126 hp and 374 Nm of torque. Is that a typo, or did you perhaps mean '274 Nm'?

Best regards,

Hello tim27!

No, that's not a typo; those are 124.4 horsepower according to the standard and DIN measurements, which is rare to be the same. It also has 374 Nm of torque at 1360 RPM. It has a stock chip with a Gruppe A exhaust system, a large intercooler, an open air intake, and a turbocharger from the 115 horsepower PD model.
We have taken three measurements, and the results are always very similar. The testers say it's a great engine; it almost didn't want to stop. Previously, there was a VR6 Turbo engine, which had almost the same torque as mine with my diesel. icon_redface.gif

'I've now installed a chip with switchable settings, larger injectors, a bigger intercooler, thicker pipes, and a turbocharger from a 131 hp PD engine. This winter, I've been able to maintain 1.5 bar of boost, and sometimes, if I'm not careful, even 2 bar. However, if it stays above 3 seconds, it goes into limp mode. Now, I'm having a problem because my boost pressure sensor is too small, and the engine control unit (ECU) can't properly interpret the signal, and it's sometimes overloaded.'

Best regards, Corrado_TDI.

We have measured three times.

374 Nm with the standard chip instead of the nominal 235, which is the normal fuel injection amount, resulting in an efficiency increase of almost 60% icon_exclaim.gif icon_exclaim.gif.
. . . if it weren't for the fact that the speed is 40% too low. To me, this simply indicates that the motor speed was incorrectly calculated (wrong gear setting on the dynamometer...).

"60% more torque at 40% lower RPM results in a net gain of 14% more power, which corresponds remarkably closely to the 124.4 horsepower compared to the original 110."
And these can arise from the sum of the larger LLK (limit of liability) and the usual variation in production.

For me, it's not really magic icon_cool.gif.

I double-checked the calculations, and the values seem reasonable.

374 Nm at 1360 rpm equals 53.2 kW.
That is certainly possible.

Attention, everyone!

Post26-12-2002, 15:36    Subject: RPM: How to Check and Increase Engine Speed Quote

What is the engine speed at which the torque is maximized, and what is the maximum power output at approximately 2900 RPM? According to the performance diagram, the power output decreases significantly at this RPM. Consequently, with a 5-speed gearbox, the maximum speed should not exceed 140 km/h, correct?

'And 374 Nm at 1350 RPM is incredibly good, so I estimate that at around 1000 RPM, it must be producing roughly 300 Nm, otherwise I can't explain it.'

hi

It was measured in 4th gear.
'No one has claimed it's magic, but everyone who drives my car says it's not normal, especially how quickly it accelerates.'
'About a month ago, I drove a Bora with a 150 hp TDI PD engine. I was a bit disappointed; I had expected it to feel like a car with 150 standard horsepower. I thought 150 standard horsepower would be more powerful. I've noticed that a 90 hp TDI with a chip is actually slower than a 110 hp TDI without a chip, and I've tested this multiple times!'

I know more people who also have a 110hp TDI engine in their A4. One of them has 129.9 hp, and I don't remember the torque figure off the top of my head; I'll have to ask him again.

Best regards, CorradoTDI.

Do you have any concerns that the engine block might come apart under 400 Nm of torque?
How long have you been driving with this kind of performance?

Guys, why don't you just switch to a different forum and continue the discussion there? Instead of posting nonsense here?

Hello.

@rainer k.

What's the point of this? Why are you even creating a forum if you're just going to annoy the people who use it?
'Whenever someone posts something positive about their device/system here, you get upset and accuse them of advertising.'
Even with topics like this one, you come up with such nonsense.
Just try to be more tolerant of other people's opinions, instead of only valuing your own!
If a topic doesn't interest you, just keep reading!
Of course, some moderation is necessary, but only for off-topic discussions.

Okay, let's talk about that!

I've been using it for about 1 1/2 years now, and everything has been great so far. I mean, if the block comes, I can't really change anything, and getting a replacement shouldn't be a problem, right?

Best regards, Corrado_TDI.

Post27-12-2002, 19:50    Subject: Corrado TDI: Performance Tips & Tuning Guide Quote

Hello,

So, what do you think I can do to get more power out of my 1Z engine? I've already maximized the performance I can get from the fuel pump electronically.
I also installed stainless steel pipes (with a slightly larger diameter).
I once tried to modify the catalytic converter, but it felt like the engine lost power without it. Now I'm thinking about modifying the exhaust system so that the exhaust gases can flow more freely.

Since I already have some new injectors, I don't want to spend money on larger ones yet, so I was thinking about using the 81 kW injectors.

You used to replace your nozzles, right? Do you still have the old ones?

Hello,

@all
I object when someone just posts nonsense. Besides that, Corrado_TDI once received a yellow card from me for promoting his tuning shop.

I see this forum as a place for social interaction. Customers are likely people with problems who are asking questions here. I, along with many other volunteers, try to help them.

AlleSure.

@tim27
How long are you going to keep asking how many horsepower your car is capable of?
Similar posts to yours already existed in the old diesel-schrauber forum.
Why don't you actually *do* something instead of just posting, instead of always asking the same questions?

@rk

It's always interesting to read how you see your own forum.

It's probably not just my opinion, but your arrogance is simply unmatched.

Let people have their space. The times when everything had to be censored are long gone, over 50 years ago. If you're not interested, simply don't read it. Others are interested, certainly more than your verbal attacks!

Best regards.

Heinz.

Hello Rainer,

I need to support you now. Those who follow the forum know how to distinguish between the people who share their tuning stories and the ones who post meaningful content. Keep up the good work, otherwise this forum will end up like a thousand others, becoming a... fairy tale icon_wink.gif.

Best regards, Albrecht.
