The mileage counter is displaying an inexplicably high value.
Cause:
If terminal 30 (battery voltage) is disconnected for 2 to 3 seconds due to a faulty connection in the wiring harness, for example, some memory cells in the volatile memory will be erased for the distance traveled. If the power supply is interrupted for less than 2 seconds, all memory contents remain intact. If the period without voltage exceeds 3 seconds, an internal reset will occur. This will reload the correct values from the permanent memory into the volatile memory.
Solution:
If there is an inexplicably high total mileage reading, the control panel can be reset by disconnecting the fuse for approximately 2 minutes to restore the correct value.
If this procedure does not result in the correct distance being displayed, the control panel module needs to be replaced. Tschüss
