Leaky Golf 3 Radiator: Other Causes & Fixes

Hello.
Can someone help me again?

My car is leaking coolant in the lower left corner of the radiator (see circle).
Unfortunately, I can't really see where it's leaking from. All the connections and hoses seem to be properly connected and dry. It looks like it might be leaking from underneath the radiator.

How likely is it that the cooler itself is defective?

What else do I need to disassemble in order to remove the radiator?
What's the best way to get a replacement? Which engines can I use the radiator from (specifically, an AHU engine with air conditioning but currently not in operation)?

Debugging revealed that only a "spring clip" was defective. It had lost its tension and simply broke apart when viewed at an angle.
