Hi,
Could someone possibly tell me what the maximum allowable temperatures are for the DPF and for the area before the turbocharger?
"I'm asking because I had my car "chipped" yesterday. I'm just checking to see if everything is okay regarding the particulate filter and exhaust temperatures..."
Thank you for your responses.
Best regards.

Hello,
The maximum temperature before the charger inlet should not exceed 850°C. Refer to measurement block 67 using VCDS.
"By default," however, it is already being regulated beforehand.
Best regards, Rainer.

I haven't personally seen temperatures exceeding 800°C, even when running at full throttle in the summer.
However, at the BMR.

Hi, thanks for your replies. I just analyzed my log file, and the highest exhaust temperature before the turbo was 815.5 C. The DPF reached a maximum of 587.6 C, which was during a full-throttle acceleration at 4200 RPM. I hope this is normal. I also have another log file from before the drive, when the DPF was just starting to regenerate, but the file is a bit messy. However, the maximum temperature is not higher in this file either, as Rainer already mentioned, it's being regulated back. So, according to this, the DPF and turbo should not be damaged by the higher exhaust temperatures that are sometimes feared in other forums due to the tuning.
"I noticed during the regeneration process that my Audi suddenly started jerking violently, starting at around 2200 RPM. This was barely noticeable in its original condition."
Is this normal for a tuned vehicle with a DPF?
Best regards.

Hi pa-mm6,
I've seen something similar with mine. It's interesting to see how your Lambda has evolved after the tuning.

Hi, are you suggesting that I should check the lambda value? As I recall, it shouldn't exceed 1.40 at 3000 RPM, right?

During regeneration, my BMR (basal metabolic rate) is also extremely erratic.
Apparently, the developers didn't put in the effort to properly calculate the torque changes that the post-injection process introduces. Especially the transitions when accelerating and decelerating don't feel very smooth.

Hi everyone.
@ pa-mm6
Yes, the lambda value should be logged in 5th or 6th gear (on the highway), and between 3200-3800 RPM, the lambda should be below 1.34 (that's what I observed on the last TPI I saw). Otherwise, it will result in a loss of power.
@ dieselmartin
Yes, my car also always acts up there.
SG Christian.

Hi, regarding logging data, the best RPM range (between 3200-3800) is achieved in 5th or 6th gear. Then, it's best to engage the cruise control, right? I heard somewhere that it's also possible to do it at full throttle.
"So, should I press the gas pedal all the way down at a certain speed?"

What's real?
I only know 1.4 as the limit.
I'm familiar with that type of conveyor belt as well.
Can you provide the TPI number?

Hello dieselmartin,
Unfortunately, I no longer remember the TPI number; it was from 3 years ago.
There, the topic was relatively new, perhaps things have changed, or there might be a difference between VW and Audi.
Ich hab ja 4 neue Düsen bekommen und seit dem liegt der Lambda um die 1.3 im 5. Walk on the highway.
Sure, here's the translation:

Hi,
I've created a log file here, but I can't really make sense of it. The values fluctuate, sometimes below 1.30 and sometimes above 1.40. Could someone take a look at it? The PPD (presumably referring to a specific component or system) was cleaned by a certified technician about 15,000 km ago.
Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:
"MFG" is an abbreviation for "Mit freundlichen Grüßen," which means "Sincerely" or "Best regards" in English.
