Golf V BLS Simmering: Swing Replacement

Hello!

Is it possible to replace the crankshaft seal on the transmission side, which is located near the pulse wheel, without using any special tools?

Since the donor wheel is being replaced, specialized tools are unfortunately likely required.

The second option would be to only replace the sealing ring, but it's likely that the bearing ring will also be damaged. It would require a trial to see.

I would borrow the tool from the upon providing appropriate collateral.
