Does anyone have an idea on how to permanently make the linkage of the load adjustment mechanism more easily movable? After noticing a loss of power, I inspected the VTG linkage. } It was difficult to move and made a squeaking noise. } I applied some WD 40 to help, but it will likely evaporate due to the heat, and the effect will be lost. } Could I use copper paste or something similar? } I would be grateful for any tips.
If something is stuck inside, it's probably most sensible to disassemble it.
Hello.
"In my opinion, the blockage is probably most often located on the inside, because that's where soot accumulates and clogs the mechanism (that's how it is/was at least in my case)."
But thanks to sheer force = a larger container , my charger hasn't been giving me any trouble for almost a year.
"The workshop cleaned the linkage using old brake fluid. Test runs confirmed the target values. My father drove a similar distance at full load and only used 10.4 liters of diesel instead of 11.9. So, it seems to have made a difference."
