Audi 4F Steering Column Lock Error 00288

Has anyone of you already installed the repair kit 4F0 498 502 for the steering column on the A6 4F?

What I would like to know is, ... whether the immobilizer is affected, so that I have to go to the , or if I can do it myself with VCDS, and what to pay attention to on the coding side.

Hello,

There are two versions of the steering column available for the 4F:
Until 2008, the entire steering column, including the control unit and actuator, is a single component and can only be replaced as a complete unit.
From July 2008, the repair kit can be used.
In both cases, the encoding is taken over by the Old.
WFS must be re-configured due to VIN-binding.
