Golf 4 1.9TDI 4Motion AJM has a hard start

"For about a month now, I've been having a problem with my Golf 4 AJM 4M: it's very difficult to start, whether it's cold or warm." I've noticed that I no longer hear the "whirring" sound of the fuel pump when I turn the ignition on.

"Also, I've also occasionally experienced extreme hesitations when riding uphill at low RPMs, which wasn't happening before."

"Yesterday, I replaced the pre-pump with another one, but the problem persists. Additionally, I disconnected the fuel line leading to the diesel filter and tried to crank the engine, but no diesel is coming through."

The error memory is, of course, empty.

Does electricity reach the pre-feed pump during organ playing?
