Hello.
My Golf 3 TDI with the AHU engine has never let me down in the last 400,000 km, and I want to keep it that way. All the hoses and lines are still original, so I figured it's time to replace them.
Regarding the TL (presumably a specific vehicle or component), I wanted to replace the oil return and supply lines. Is it possible to do this with the component still installed?
Does anyone have any tips for me on the best way to do this without stripping any screws?
Thank you. Golf III TDI AHU 402Tkm

"Why? Are the pipes rusted?"

Not yet.
But the return line doesn't look very reliable anymore.
I also sometimes drive 600 km non-stop in this car, and I don't want to be stranded on the side of the road. I simply want to continue to have the maximum reliability.
I guess if it broke, it was probably due to the turbo.

Hi.
If the line were to "tear," the mechanical stress wouldn't be your biggest concern.
If it looks very worn out, you will eventually lose engine oil from it.
Best regards, Rainer.

If the turbocharger is still bolted to the cylinder head, the hose cannot "break off".

Okay, don't panic, but it looks like the pipe connections might be coming loose. Golf III TDI AHU 402Tkm
