Hello TDI community!

Has anyone actually been brave enough to drive to the recycling center with a decommissioned agricultural vehicle?
Or have you always diligently restored the system to its original state beforehand, and then disabled the EGR system again afterwards?

As far as I know, the measurement essentially only determines the opacity of the exhaust gas at the engine's idle speed. In this operating state, the EGR system should also be closed by the control unit. Therefore, from a purely measurement perspective, there shouldn't be any difference between a disabled and a functional EGR system, or am I mistaken?

Do the inspectors also examine the connection flanges more closely? Has anyone had any experience with this?

Thank you for your information.

Regards,
Alex.

It didn't matter that the hose near the EGR valve was vibrating slightly; no one was there to notice.
The turbidity is measured, but even with AGR (presumably a specific technology or process), it's still slightly worse than without it. Usually, no one checks this.

Our TÜV always checks the hoses! That's why a piece of metal had gotten into the AGR channel in my case icon_wink.gif. You can only see that if they remove the AGR valve.

The AU shouldn't be a problem.

Okay, so our TÜV (technical inspection authority) hasn't been interested in this for almost 5 years. I also have the sheet metal for the return pipe from the turbo lying around, but why bother doing the work when they're not even concerned about a simple closed hose with a screw for the TÜV/AU (emissions test) or the master mechanic.

Hi,
'Since the topic came up in the forum (back when it was still on the old platform), I've been experimenting with a metal dissolving solution in my 1Z.'
'I may be lazy myself, but back then, I wanted to know how much sludge was in the intake manifold.'

The annual general meeting (AGM) in March went smoothly (although no one showed any interest in the topic of 'schlauchung').

Best regards, Rudi.

I can only say that examiner S. from L. has been quite careless lately...
He was quite a pain in the neck.

'However, the actual values should be significantly better with a deactivated EGR system compared to a standard one. As long as no NOx emissions are measured, this difference may not be noticeable.'

And if it's just about the tire being punctured... that shouldn't be a problem, should it?

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

'Cu Gremlin'

To do that, they would have to perform partial load measurements, which involves a lot of work... icon_wink.gif
