hi
I'm quite new here and I have a question, maybe you can help me.
I have an AFN engine with 110 horsepower and 140,000 km on the odometer. I bought an auxiliary control module for the fuel injection pump, and now it's smoking excessively when I give it full throttle. It's about 10 km/h faster, so you can definitely feel the difference.
I read about '10-cent tuning' and adjusted the resistor for the turbocharger's pressure sensor in the control module. Now it doesn't smoke as much, and it seems to have gained a little more power.
Do these modules that are used with the VP37 also increase boost pressure, or do they only change the amount of fuel? Because by changing the resistor, the turbo is now producing 0.2 bar more pressure. I don't want the module to be increasing the boost pressure and causing the turbocharger to fail.
What is the original boost pressure, and where can I measure it? Okay, that was a lot of questions. I would appreciate any answers you can provide.
look, Chris.
