What do you think about installing an immersion heater in the coolant hose and powering it with 220 V? icon_mrgreen.gif

Hi,

What do you think about using the forum's search function?

Best regards,

These are just ordinary household immersion heaters.
I wouldn't feel right lying in bed knowing that my homemade immersion heater, which is probably a bit of a makeshift job, is about to be switched on by a timer, and hopefully it doesn't catch fire.
It's better to spend a few extra euros and buy one that's actually designed for that purpose.
You don't have to invent something that has already been on the market for a long time. icon_rolleyes.gif (Calix, Defa)

Are there immersion heaters that are integrated into the lid of the expansion tank? My idea would be a replacement lid that has such an immersion heater built in. But, does it even make sense to heat the water in the expansion tank? Would the heat actually spread throughout the entire system?

Just take a look at the expansion tank and its connections...

The answer will come naturally...

"A buffer tank heating system is a great thing... it definitely reduces the warm-up time by about 10 seconds."

Sure, no problem!
