I have a Passat TD 35 I, manufactured in 1992. My problem is that the temperature gauge shows a temperature that is much too low. Since both the sensor and the gauge are functioning, I would like to know the technical specifications of the system. The sensor has a resistance of approximately 1400 ohms at 12 degrees Celsius, and approximately 300 ohms at warm engine temperature. Is this normal? The gauge shows 70 degrees when the resistance is 100 ohms, and 105 degrees when the resistance is 65 ohms. Who knows more?
Furthermore, the fuel gauge displays far too much (but the problem is not the voltage stabilizer, which provides approximately 10 volts).
