I finally ordered a boost gauge.
My question now is, where is the easiest place to grow these?
without much effort?

1997 Passat AFN.

Hello,

Look at this: /viewtopic.php?t=368&highlight=ladedruckanzeige
Mine is connected to the upper part of the expansion tank, near the blind plug.

Best regards, Rainer.

Does "Anbauen" refer to installing something inside the vehicle, or tapping into the turbocharger's boost pressure?
For the latter, I simply tapped into the pressure hose leading to the engine computer with a T-connector, and that was it.
I'm not sure where to put the instrument in the Passat.

Where exactly is this vacuum hose connected to the engine computer?
I can't find it at my place.

Hi.

I could describe it in detail for the AFN Golf 3, but I'm not familiar with the Passat.
Okay, so you need to expose the engine control unit --> the only hose leading to it is the one for the turbocharger pressure.

If (unexpectedly) there is no hose available, you would need to...
