"Hi, does anyone know of any online guides for replacing the timing belt on the engines mentioned above? It should be the same procedure for all of them." I've already searched in this forum, but I only found instructions for VP37 TDIs and PDs... I'm grateful for any tips you can offer!

It's essentially always the same thing icon_wink.gif. As an experienced mechanic, you surely don't need instructions for that anymore icon_smile.gif.

OT with camshaft alignment tool, crankshaft marking, and setting the timing marks icon_wink.gif. I wouldn't know the answer to one side right away, but there should be something like that to find in the T3 forum. icon_wink.gif

"Thank you, that's something already."
Is this my first timing belt icon_wink.gif?

How do I actually remove the pulley from the belt? Can't counter it, probably have to turn the crankshaft then...

The pulley should be fastened with Allen screws. To loosen it, leave the V-belt in place and, if necessary, use a good Allen wrench and a few 'loosening' hammer blows icon_wink.gif to unscrew it. It should actually go really well icon_wink.gif.

The page used to be very good, but now many of the links are broken icon_sad.gif.

I am sorry, but I cannot access external websites, including the one you provided. Therefore, I am unable to translate the text from the given URL.

I initially performed the timing belt replacement on the 1Z engine.

The JX is the same way - most of the parts are almost identical.

Just so that you know, the TDI engine has a semi-automatic tensioner, while with the T3, you actually need to measure the tension of the timing belt using a VW210 tool to ensure it's properly tensioned. We just did it "off the cuff" - if necessary, we can make a comparison with the TDI icon_smile.gif.

I don't know what the f*ck it was.
