passat tdi, mkb 1Z, has a OBD2 interface

Does my 1994 Passat (MK1) have an OBD2 interface?
I was told that it doesn't have one. Then I wonder what that connector is on the right next to the steering wheel? He also seems to have connected the contacts, just like with OBD2?

Genau, sollte man vielleicht noch hinzufügen. Die Diagnose erfolgt zwar über einen OBD2 Stecker bzw, 2x2, aber er kann OBD2 als Protokoll nicht.

Stimmt. Aber fuer klarheit: VAG-COM beunutzt sowieso die VAG Protokolle, nicht OBD2.
