Hello specialists,
Today, I compared the mass airflow sensor (MAF sensor) from my Opel Sintra (2.2 DTI) with the one from a Ford Galaxy (130 hp PD).
Superficially (I haven't been able to fully examine them), the mass flow meters (specifically, just the fittings, not the entire tube) look very similar. The dimensions and mounting also appear identical. There are 5 connections present, but the coding on the connector looks slightly different.
Opel mass airflow sensors are expensive for the Sintra, but Volkswagen now offers very affordable alternatives (including, for example, the Pierburg mass airflow sensor from DC).
Is it possible to replace the mass airflow sensor (MAF) here? What are the differences between different MAF sensors?
Dieter.

According to a very knowledgeable Opel mechanic I know, there is no compatibility. Of course, it depends on trying it out...
But if there were a connection, someone would have definitely made money off of it by now.

Even the DC alternative isn't as relevant anymore.
LLMs cost Volkswagen just over €80 (when purchased as a replacement part).
Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation. Transparency, Teamwork
... there was another T.
I don't know what the f*ck it was.

Okay, I understand. Please provide the text you would like me to translate from German to English.
Performance loss, increased consumption, etc., can quickly turn the approximately €20 cost advantage into a losing proposition. Not to mention goodwill or warranty claims in case of problems...

m;
I can't imagine that VW would replace the Opel mass airflow sensor... so I'm going to go to 'Papa' Daimler and order one – as I said, it all depends on trying it out...
Unfortunately, I can't get the LMM (lambda manifold module) out of my Galaxy PD; it seems that they are no longer standard Torx screws with a hole, but some other type of nut again .
Does anyone know the right tool for the job?
Dieter.

Perhaps a multi-tooth key?
By the way: Does anyone know the part number of the current, improved mass airflow sensor (MAF) with separators for the 115 hp PD (ATJ) engine?
Best regards, WarLord.

Many people have struggled with using a Torx bit. It's a Torx bit with a hole in the middle.
'I actually found one that fits! It was more of a coincidence, though.'

I also have Torx bits with a hole - but mine don't fit!
