'When I exceed an engine speed of approximately 2200 RPM, the engine loses a significant amount of power. The mass airflow sensor (MAF) has been replaced, but the problem persists. What's strange is that this issue only occurs sporadically. For four weeks, it ran perfectly fine, but then, again, it starts running poorly for weeks.' What do you think the problem could be?
Have you already read the error codes?
If so, what are the error messages?
Wie groß ist die Laufleistung Deines Autos? Tuned/untuned?
Does the performance drop off, or does it feel like 70 horsepower from the beginning?
Is a boost pressure indicator available?
Greetings.
Thomas.

I had a similar problem. Check the wiring harness to see if you might have a broken wire. In my car (1Z), I had one right near the MAF sensor connector. The error would appear sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on the resistance, and it didn't always leave an entry in the error memory.
You can easily identify such things by looking at the LMM values.
Install the diode and then take it for a test drive - at that point, the mass airflow sensor (MAF) values shouldn't change.
I already noticed a problem with the mass airflow sensor (MAF sensor) -> the MAF sensor value suddenly dropped to 0, and the 110 hp TDI engine suddenly lost power, only to immediately regain full power - it was a wild ride.
