. So, I quickly removed this rear shield and it was fine. I didn't notice any immediate difference at the time. Currently, my motor mounts are particularly wobbly, especially in hot weather. This is probably also due to the removal of the splash guard.
However, from my time as an intern at ZF, I know that this particular splash guard for the rear hydro-bearing is absolutely essential to ensure the long life of the bearing. (I have already commented on this topic in the forum)
Absolutely, this fender definitely has an impact on the temperature-dependent damping properties and lifespan of the hydraulic seal!
However, it is important to determine whether vehicles with and without mud flaps have the same type of hydraulic bearings.
