Hello,

My new oil pump for my 1987 Jetta was just installed.
It comes with a JR motor. At first glance, I notice that the drive shaft has a gear-like head at the top, but the oil pump I need must have a 'ground pin' (similar to a flathead screwdriver).
According to VW's statement, is the delivered pump for the JR engine compatible with ABS?
I couldn't believe that an anti-lock braking system could have an effect on the drive of the oil pump!

Question: Is there some kind of adapter available?
Can I exchange something else to make it fit?
Does the intermediate shaft (which drives the overhead camshafts) also need to be replaced? (That sounds like a huge job!?)

Can anyone comment on this?
