Hello,
I just found this message online. If it's already known and not new information, please simply delete the thread.
Sure, here's the translation:
'P.S.: Does anyone know which specific models are affected?'

Hi,
Sure, here's the translation of the text from German to English:
'The following information is based on my memory. No guarantee of accuracy.'
The models affected are the Golf, Bora, and Beetle, and ??? (followed by an incomplete word or phrase).
The affected parts are not tandem pumps manufactured by Bosch, but only those manufactured by 'LUK' (I hope I have the correct manufacturer in mind).
Check the Golf's pump: Open the hood, locate the tandem pump, and read the manufacturer on the housing cover. If it says 'Bosch,' everything is okay. If it says 'LUK,' check for a green dot approximately 7mm in size on top of the pump. If there is one, everything is okay. If not, then 5 or 6 screws that hold the pump cover onto the pump need to be replaced.
For each specific car model, there's a particular range of vehicle identification numbers (VINs). (Apparently, Volkswagen randomly installs either 'Luk' or 'Bosch' fuel pumps. Who would do such a thing??)
As far as I can remember, that's all.
Regards,

(Apparently, at VW, they sometimes install 'Luk' pumps and sometimes 'Bosch' pumps, seemingly at random. Who is doing this???)

Great answer from Bee.
Could you also let us know where we can find this Tandem pump? I think I might be affected, so knowing its location would save me some worry.

At the end of the cylinder head... on the side opposite the timing belt. Gruß Bertil

I went to my friendly car dealership today for something else. I immediately asked about the recall. Apparently, Seat vehicles are also affected. The employee told me that there is not yet precise information available about which specific engines are affected. However, all affected owners will definitely be contacted personally.

'...so the note my friend had was very specific. At least regarding the vehicle identification numbers...'
I haven't even told you the best joke yet: Of course, nothing was replaced for me, because the necessary parts are currently not available . I'm curious to see how long it will take before my phone rings......

Hi,
Brief announcement: Volkswagen is contacting affected customers.
After replacing the screws, the transition between the pump cover and the screw head will be marked with red paint.
If I remember correctly, there should also be a corresponding sticker placed in the service booklet. However, the workshop didn't do that for me. If anyone happens to come across the workshop instructions regarding this matter, I would appreciate it if they could send me a copy.
So, if someone finds this thread through a search in 5 years, they can use this information to verify whether the action was carried out.
Regards,
