You're all always talking about brake cleaner... but would 98% isopropyl alcohol work instead?
Thank you everyone.

Just get 99% isopropyl alcohol from the pharmacy; it costs about one euro per liter. Simply let the LMM (likely referring to a specific item) soak in the alcohol until you see the residue dissolving, then repeat the process with fresh alcohol.
You could put it in a plastic bag and gently shake it.
Otherwise, just use an electronic circuit board cleaner. They usually come with a thin nozzle that allows you to work more precisely.
Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:
'cu' is a Spanish abbreviation for 'con usted,' which means 'with you.' It is often used in online communication and social media as a way to express affection or intimacy.
Here are some examples of how 'cu' can be used:
* 'Te amo cu!' (I love you!)
* 'Eres mi todo cu.' (You are my everything.)
* 'No puedo vivir sin ti cu.' (I can't live without you.)
It is important to note that the use of 'cu' may not be appropriate in all situations. For example, it would likely be inappropriate to use 'cu' when communicating with someone who is older than you or who you do not know well.

Why can the spray 'Kontakt 60' not be used?

Hi.

Man can already use it... but the (medium-term) consequences are likely to be less pleasant.
The most chemically aggressive contact sprays can cause corrosion (again), even after initial cleaning success, which is probably not beneficial for the thin and correspondingly sensitive measuring hot film . Gruß Ulf

I also have another question: Should you remove the mass airflow sensor (MAF) from its housing to verschandeln it? And if so, what kind of strange Torx screws are those with a pin in the middle ?
My LMM seems to be okay for now, but a colleague (A6 AFB) got a new LMM because of lack of power and gave me his old one. I haven't even looked to see if it would fit my AFN engine, but I now have something to play with and take apart (as soon as I can get the screws off...).
Regards,
Udo.
P.S.: Maybe it's a silly question about the screws, but are they meant to prevent hobbyists without special tools from taking things apart?!

Hi.
Correctly typed, the special torque wrenches are intended to prevent at least some DIY enthusiasts from attempting repairs themselves.
However, if you take a look around hardware stores or even home improvement centers, you can find suitable tools.
Of course, it's usually not exactly cheap . Gruß Ulf

Hello.
I was actually planning to buy a new cleaning solution, but after reading the posts here, I'm going to try cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol (99%) first.
I'm just not sure exactly how far I should disassemble this part. Do I really need to buy the special torque wrenches mentioned, or is there another tip someone can offer? (Unfortunately, I haven't been able to examine them myself yet, as the mass airflow sensor is still installed.)
Otherwise, I'm open to all tips; I'm not exactly an experienced mechanic. I'll just give it a try...
Best regards,
Christian.

To remove those stupid screws, I simply used a mini-drill and a grinding bit to grind them out. Then, a regular Torx screwdriver will fit.

I took mine apart using pliers (or rather, the screws), and then I used different screws... it's cheaper that way.
