Hello everyone,

I am looking for the characteristic curve of the external 250 kPa boost pressure sensor for the ASV.

Unfortunately, the two parameters provided in Rainer's instructions for building a digital boost pressure gauge are not sufficient to test the sensor.

@Rudi or Rainer

What voltage/pressure characteristic curve is configured for this sensor in the MSG (Message) system?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Best regards, Jochen.

Hello Jochen,

Since the initial characteristic curve of the sensor is a straight line, these 2 points are sufficient to determine all other operating points icon_wink.gif.

You can find the characteristic curve formula for the 250 kPa sensor, exemplified by model number 0273003210, here:
0273003210

Best regards, Rainer.

Well, yes, one should really read carefully.

My two-point sensor calibration was completely off, so I assumed that my sensor had a non-linear response curve.

If anyone else needs it for measurement tasks.
I've recalculated, and now the calculation is correct.

0.4V -> 20 kPa
4.65V -> 250 kPa

This leads to the following characteristic equation:

P_absolute

For those who prefer to see the relative charging pressure, the following equation is used:

P_LD

However, this is only valid under the assumption of an ambient pressure of 998 kPa.

@Rainer
I'm not sure if it's really necessary, but perhaps you could supplement the equations in your research paper.

Best regards, Jochen.
