Document A2 8Z0 MJ 2002, Air Conditioning Fault 1206 (Solution)

Error code 01206 is stored in the climate control control unit.

Cause:
Error code 01206 (Signal for ignition off duration - implausible signal) is stored in the fault memory and cannot be cleared after turning on the ignition.

Control panel module reset (automatic reset, for example, due to disconnecting the battery or a drop in voltage).

Solution:
The error can only be cleared after the engine has been started. To do this, start the engine and let it run for at least 30 seconds, then turn off the engine.
Check for errors in the air conditioning system, clear error codes.
