Hello everyone, icon_biggrin.gif

For the past two weeks, a 2.0 TDCi with 96 kW, manufactured in 2003, has been parked in front of my door. Just like in my old Mondeo, I want to install an LDA (this time, a digital one) in this one, but the question is where to connect it.

Is there a relatively simple way to connect to this motor? Ideally, it would be great if I could tap into a thin wire using a T-connector!
I haven't thoroughly inspected the engine or the wiring yet, but I plan to do that today. Whether I'll find anything at all remains to be seen... I'm hoping to benefit from your experiences. icon_wink.gif

When it comes to parts that I want to downgrade as much as possible, I always choose the cheapest option if a replacement is already necessary.

And I don't think you'll be able to achieve that without some kind of modification. Because Ford (or is it still a PSA engine?) will likely be directly tapping into the LD sensor with a built-in sensor.

I don't know what the f*ck it was.

I noticed that it wouldn't actually be difficult to drill a hole to the side of the AGR valve and then screw in a threaded nipple. There's enough space around it, and it wouldn't interfere with any channels. It would require loosening four screws and a clamp. This would be located directly in front of the intake manifold, which is actually an ideal location, and nothing could go wrong during installation.

Also auch Unterdruck... icon_confused.gif

Here is the EGR valve:

In this case, the hoses of the two pressure sensors are already separate, and I'm almost limited to tapping into the EGR valve itself (with a threaded fitting). Another option would be to insert a needle into a hose, but would that work? Would the hose become damaged because of the 'puncture'? What would be the best sealant to use? Are the values from the LDA correct? I can imagine that less might be displayed, as it essentially functions like an airbrush gun, where the needle acts as the intake manifold. icon_question.gif
