A3 8L Screw Corrosion: Documentary (Solution)

The mounting screw for the sill cover on the front and/or rear door is corroded.

Affected vehicle identification numbers:

Cause:
By tightening the screw, the corrosion protection on the screw's surface can be damaged. As a result, corrosion may occur on the screw head.

Solution:
Replace the corroded screw with a new, stainless steel screw.
