Hello!
I'm having a problem with my Ibiza 6K (manufactured in 7/99), 1.9L SDI engine, engine code: AEY.
Recently, my catalytic converter failed. Because it was still under warranty, I sent it back to the manufacturer. The manufacturer's (GAT) inspection revealed that the monolith was loose and the insulation material had burned away.
According to the discoloration of the catalytic converter shell, temperatures exceeding 1000°C were reached inside the converter, which suggests that:
Either there's something wrong with the fuel injection system or the glow plug system.
The warning lights are not illuminated... I plan to read the error codes again in the next few days (unfortunately, I don't have a laptop, so I have to bring my entire computer).
Can you use VAG-COM to check the injection and ignition timing, and potentially adjust it? Vita mihi mors est

Yes, it is possible to control the injection timing, and in some engine control units (ECUs), it is also possible to adjust the dynamic injection timing to a certain extent. However, this requires the full version of the software.
Does the car emit exhaust fumes?
Does the car have any modifications? If so, is it a piggyback module or a chip? A4 Limu 07/96 AHU@110PS 192tkm 08/05-05/08

Full version available. 3112...
It doesn't produce excessive smoke... however, I'm not sure what's considered "normal" because I suspect the problem was there from the beginning (I bought the car used two years ago).
He passed the AU exam without any problems last year, and there have been no changes since then.
The engine management is original, and nothing else has been done to increase performance... It's not worth it for a 64 horsepower engine. Vita mihi mors est

Okay, warm up the engine, then log into the engine control unit (ECU), go to the basic settings, select measurement block 000, and then display the timings. Then, select the engine code, and you will see the timings. A4 Limu 07/96 AHU@110PS 192tkm 08/05-05/08

Okay, that's great. Could you please post the license number? If it's not public, please send it to me via private message. I'm trying not to laugh right now.

Hey, I'm not entirely sure what your comment is supposed to mean, but I'm pretty sure you can't check license numbers... For your information, licenses for 311/409 are still available and are still being distributed. [/url] But if a license check is really necessary, then, for example, write to me and don't forget to include the full name and address, so we can see if there's anything relevant in the customer database...

I know someone who can do it. And you probably know best what the comment is supposed to mean. With so many pirated copies and cracked versions, the suspicion is more than justified.
They can still obtain a support ticket or diagnostic system from the Dieselschrauber Shop.
