Hi,

ich habe - ein wenig Spielerei - bei meinem 2001er T4 (7DC, LongLife mit CAN-Bus-Kombiinstrument) die Service-Intervall-Anzeige über die Knöpfe am Tacho zurückgesetzt. Wie es im Prospekt steht, wurde dadurch auf ein festes Intervall 'zurückprogrammiert'. Die Grenzwerte (Kanäle 43 und 44) wurden korrekt auf 15.000/365 gesetzt, die Werte für km/Tage seit Inspektion (Kanäle 40 und 41) auf 0. So weiOkay, very good.

'I have now entered the data for kilometers driven per day since the last inspection, adjusting it to 40/41. Surprisingly, the odometer displays 'Service in 3000 km' at any mileage above 12,000 km, for example, when I enter 14,500 km. I would have expected that mileage to display 'Service in 500 km.' However, the countdown from 3000 km is working correctly.'

Why does the display always show '3000' after the adjustment, instead of the correct kilometer reading up to 15,000 km?
Bug? Feature? Misuse?

Hi,

The '3000' appeared regardless of whether I had paused or not.

Even though the display showed a lower value due to driving (e.g., 2700), simply adjusting channels 40/41 resulted in the display showing '3000' again, indicating more kilometers driven since the last inspection.

Is this remapping of the display something you need, or are you just doing it for fun?
